Legal Intern/Summer Associate

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the interpretation and drafting of contracts related to aerospace and defense projects, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on labor & employment law issues relevant to the manufacturing industry, including employment practices, workplace policies, and regulatory compliance.
  • Work directly with the General Counsel in reviewing and analyzing labor-related documents, such as policies and employee handbooks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide legal guidance and support on various legal matters, including employee relations, workplace investigations, dispute resolution, and compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents, correspondence, and presentations under the guidance of an experienced attorney.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions with internal stakeholders to provide legal insights and recommendations on contract and labor & employment law matters.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited law school program; completed first year with a GPA greater than 2.8.
  • Strong academic background with coursework or experience in contract law, labor & employment law, or related fields.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Detail-oriented, spot-on issue analysis, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior legal experience or coursework related to aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industries is a plus but not required.
