Scope/Contacts

This is a multi-incumbent position reporting to multiple loan officers who have large or major loan portfolios. Due to the experience and proficiency level of this job, the incumbent receives only general supervision. The incumbent has frequent customer contact by telephone and e-mail. Assists customers with routine problems and resolves or refers to other departments or supervisor. Must always exercise good human relation skills throughout interaction with customers and bank staff.

Essential Functions

  • Perform administrative duties for one or more Sr. level loan officers engaged in consumer/commercial loans.
  • Type, file, answer phone, greets and assists customers and prospective customers via phone or email.
  • Prepare loan documentation and follow up to ensure conformity to Bank's lending processes.
  • Handle special projects as assigned.
  • Must actively participate in Customer Service First sales and service culture, support the values of the organization and follow established company policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires mathematical and general business knowledge normally acquired by high school graduate and at least six years secretarial/administrative experience, commercial or personal loan experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree with two years administrative experience will substitute for required experience.
  • Qualities most important to this position are: good customer relations and communications, accuracy, flexibility, reliability, initiative, confidentiality, and ability to handle multiple tasks at a time and work under stress.
  • Word processing and spreadsheet software experience required.
  • Must be proficient in grammar, punctuation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer relations skills and professional demeanor is extremely important.
