Lifecycle Marketing Manager


Wine Enthusiast is seeking an experienced and innovative Lifecycle Marketing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for ecommerce, customer retention, and a deep understanding of multi-channel marketing (A passion for wine and the wine lifestyle is a definite plus!). As the Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies across email, text, and browser push notifications to drive customer engagement, retention, and overall channel growth. This role will report to the Digital Marketing Director.


Responsibilities


1. Strategy Development:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive lifecycle marketing strategy, integrating email, text/SMS, and browser push notifications to engage customers across their entire journey.
  • Align lifecycle marketing efforts with broader business goals, focusing on customer retention and LTV.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer service teams to ensure seamless communication across all touchpoints.

2. Multi-Channel Campaign Planning and Execution:

  • Plan and implement targeted, data-driven campaigns across email, text, and push notifications, including promotions, new product launches, and seasonal events.
  • Own the end-to-end process from campaign ideation to execution and reporting, ensuring consistent messaging across channels.

3. Automation and Customer Journey Optimization:

  • Develop and optimize automated workflows across email, text/SMS, and push notifications, including welcome series, cart abandonment, post-purchase sequences, and win-back programs.
  • Continuously refine lifecycle marketing strategies to maximize customer retention and lifetime value.

4. Segmentation and Targeting:

  • Leverage customer data to create segmented, personalized campaigns that are relevant to each customer’s unique journey.
  • Implement A/B testing across all channels to optimize messaging, timing, and overall campaign performance.

5. Performance Analysis and Optimization:

  • Monitor KPIs, providing actionable insights to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Implement continuous testing and optimization strategies to drive engagement, retention, and revenue.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the creative team to produce compelling content and visuals for multi-channel campaigns.
  • Work closely with the analytics team to use data insights for targeted and performance-driven campaigns.
  • Work with an in-house email developer to code campaign communications.
  • Partner with the tech team to ensure seamless integration of lifecycle marketing tools and platforms.
  • Leverage product and inventory teams to work with the best product insight data and coordinate new product announcements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, related field, or similar experience.
  • Proven experience in lifecycle marketing with a focus on email, SMS, and push notifications within the e-commerce/DTC industry.
  • Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing best practices, customer segmentation, and marketing automations.
  • Experience working with platforms such as DotDigital, Klaviyo, Attentive, or similar email and SMS marketing tools.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, report on key metrics, and optimize performance.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for developing personalized and engaging customer experiences.
  • A passion for wine and wine lifestyle is always a plus!
