Orlando Shakespeare Theater, is searching for a seasonal, full time Lighting Technician for our season (October 14th 2024 through April 27th 2025).
The Lighting Technician is primarily responsible for assisting the lighting department on the implementation of all Orlando Shakes productions and special events.
Responsibilities Include: Assist with the hang, focus, and strike of electrics and special effects for all productions; Program and run the lighting console for shows as assigned; Assist with the maintenance and upkeep for all lighting inventory and systems.
Requirements: 1+ years experience in theater lighting or similar experience; Must be able to lift 50 pounds, and push/pull up to 100 pounds; Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolds, and use a personnel lift when necessary. Essential computer skills include Basic Word Processing and Spreadsheet manipulation and Google Applications. Knowledge of ETC Ion lighting consoles, Qlab, and Vectorworks a plus.
Salary Range: $18.00 per hour– Housing and transportation is not provided. The position is seasonal (renewable annually) and is paid hourly plus overtime. Night and weekend availability is required.
