This position involves working with multiple attorneys, providing a full range of support, including, but not limited to, preparation/revision of correspondence, pleadings and documents; calendar maintenance for assigned attorneys; filing and electronic transcription. -E-filing, typing, copying, faxing, scanning and presentation preparation and binding -Generally supporting attorneys, including prepare expense reports, prepare and track legal invoices
Responsibilities And Duties
Answer phones and communicates with clients on a daily basis. Prepare/revise correspondence, pleadings, corporate & real estate documents and other clerical assignments. Handle confidential and time-sensitive material. Run conflict checks and open new client engagements as requested. Maintain calendars, CLE, reports and time records. Maintain docketing for attorneys. E-Filing, copying, faxing, scanning, binding and presentation preparation.
Handle various office and client filing; proofreading documents. Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office/Suite Word, Outlook, Excel and Adobe -Between 2 and 5 years recent secretarial experience (litigation, commercial, real estate) within a law firm.
Typing 60+ wpm. Familiarity with state and federal rules and procedures a plus, along with law firm billing software.
Must have a solid understanding of technical legal terminology as well as court filings.
Experienced with trial preparation and briefs.
Notary a Plus. Bilingual a Plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent proofreading skills.
Ability to multi-task, and timely respond to deadlines as well as balance workload.
Strong organizational skills, professional demeanor, professional attire.
High school diploma or equivalent required. 4 year college degree preferred.
Compensation: Annual Salary Range $45,500.00 to $47,500.00 plus Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance-Benefits.
