Hamilton Miller & Birthisel litigation defense firm is seeking an experienced paralegals with 3-5 recent years’ experience working on insurance defense cases for their MIAMI and TAMPA offices.
All applicants must possess the following:
Performing initial case investigations by gathering facts & records, drafting pleadings/discovery (interrogatories, request for production).
Ensuring that the case documents are well organized.
Drafting witness and exhibit lists.
Locating factual witnesses.
Identifying and contacting experts, preparing hearing and trial notebooks and assists in trial.
Highly organized, pays close attention to detail, efficient, excellent written and verbal communication skills and can work well with team members.
Must be familiar and able to follow client billing guidelines, enter and record accurate billing entries and know state and federal court rules.
Prior trial experience is a plus
