Job Details

As a Loan Officer, your primary responsibility will be to originate and close loans for clients seeking financing for various purposes such as purchasing a home, refinancing, or securing a business loan.

You will need to develop and maintain the following

• Secure and foster relationships with clients and referral sources,
• Analyze financial data to determine the best loan options for clients,
• Guide clients through the application process, and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Experience in Residential Retail Sales Loans and Wholesale loans
  
  

Success in this role will require strong communication skills, attention to detail, excellent customer service, and a thorough understanding of lending products and regulations. Your income will be based solely on the loans you close, so your ability to generate leads, build a strong network, and close deals will be crucial to your success in this position.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet or similar software) with the ability to learn and adapt to specialized loan software.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of current residential and or commercial real estate lending sales experience.
• Strong knowledge of current real estate and consumer lending laws and regulations.
• Recent experience with mortgage loan origination and automated underwriting systems.
• Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and & Registry - within your state
• Credit union industry experience a plus.
• Skills/Abilities
• Excellent communication skills including effective listening, written composition, problem solving, and tact in dealing with internal and external members, third party vendors and colleagues.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct basic and complex loan document needs assessments, identify problems, and exercise sound judgment.
• Proven ability to learn information quickly and maintain composure under pressure in a complex, high production, structured environment.
• Must be reliable and dependable in meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and to prioritize tasks and adapt to a wide range of job responsibilities.
