As the Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all activities involved in workflow between two departments. You will manage a team of Logistics drivers and a team of Warehouse associates to ensure project handoffs are seamless and on time. As the Logistics and Warehouse Supervisor, review of team member performance, productivity, and work quality will be a major part of the role’s responsibilities.
You will be responsible for adjusting workflows and developing measures to improve logistics and warehouse methods, tools, equipment performance, safety, and overall quality of our deliverables. In addition, you will be responsible for helping Management develop a national logistics strategy across multiple facilities and grow partnerships with partner vendors in both logistics and warehousing of company or client projects. You will keep records, and also maintain and update files based on vehicle performance and maintenance, track vehicle mileage, understand driver qualification requirements and stay current with all DOT rules and regulations (intra and interstate).

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coordinates weekly logistics schedule to meet client expectations and Reviews logistics forecast daily for optimal scheduling.
- Confirms work order specifications when scheduling pickups and deliveries.
- Interfaces with project coordinator/manager/sales/clients to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Measures metrics and inspects quality of work to verify conformance to specifications.
- Directs in adjusting workflow when results fail to meet standards.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures and timelines to meet production schedules.
- Shares recommendations with both departments to ensure continuity.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment or vehicles to increase efficiency of shop, department, safety or staff.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists Team in solving them
- Maintains time and production records and metrics.
- Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints professionally.
- Ensures driver logs are completed and meet standards as well as vehicle logs of any maintenance or performance issues.
- Works with legal to keep pertinent vehicle information up to date.
- Works closely with building management leadership on internal moves and storage needs
- Manages the inventory of warehouse materials and client inventory.
- Interacts directly with Sales and Clients to schedule order pick-ups and deliveries
- Manages department employees and provides overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of their work product and the team’s performance while always looking to improve process for greater efficiency
- Manages team members across multiple sites
- Bachelor’s degree in a relatable field or 5 years Warehouse Management experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations
- Experience in leading multi-shift production environments
- Familiarity with Project Management principles
- Familiarity with FedEx software for shipping purposes
- Familiarity with NetSuite
- Experience in utilizing a Warehouse Management System
- Experience with Document Capture equipment is a plus
