The ideal candidate will be constantly assessing the systems in place to ensure that they are both safe and operating efficiently. This candidate will be comfortable managing a team and conducting analysis in order to highlight areas for improvement. This candidate should also be comfortable ensuring necessary utilities are working correctly and possess strong organizational skills in order to keep track of multiple projects at once.
Responsibilities
- Direct the maintenance repair of plant equipment, machines, building and grounds and manage the work order system.
- Maintain all necessary maintenance records and prepares required reports to monitor productivity, Overall Equipment and PM effectiveness.
- Develop and control budget for all maintenance areas.
- Forecast maintenance plan (personnel, equipment, spend, and space requirements).
- Maintain plant TPM program, including a preventive maintenance program for machines, equipment, building and grounds. Must maintain PM records for all equipment and recommend changes to improve OEE based on trends.
- Maintain tool crib for maintenance.
- Establish an adequate inventory of replacement and repair parts for equipment and machines.
- Responsible for the hiring of maintenance personnel.
- Assist in training and development of maintenance personnel.
- Ensure training in safety procedures and ensures safe work practices are adhered to.
- Complete annual performance reviews and monitors performance of personnel.
- Stay up to date with “state of the art” equipment, software and maintenance techniques.
- Participate in understanding and adhering to OSHA and EPA regulations, as well as MESH (as a specified MESH Champion).
- Make sure that equipment and processes meet all requirements.
- Initiate safety review on all new processes and/or equipment.
- Develop and submit capital approval requests and requisitions for tooling and/or equipment repairs or replacements.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical field (Preferred)
- 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Direct experience managing maintenance technicians
- Budgeting/Cost controlling experience
- Strong CNC Experience + experience with CNC Machines
- Strong CMMS Experience
- Previous Experience managing CNC fabrication shops
- Experience with ERP Systems
- Strong facilities maintenance experience
- Previous manufacturing automation maintenance experience
