Maintenance Technician

Summary

Horizon Ag-Products is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work at our Cuba, NM facility. This hands-on position requires skills in one or more of the following areas, in addition to requiring fabrication skills: electrical, welding, machine tools, facilities maintenance, conveyance systems, pumps, hoses and water transfer systems and air systems. The ideal candidate will have three years' experience and/or an industrial maintenance certificate and be willing to work days or nights as needed. The Maintenance Technician will be accountable for the safe maintenance, repair and/or replacement of plant equipment and systems to ensure production quality and quantity objectives are met in accordance with the company’s standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day-to-day preventative and predictive maintenance on all equipment and facilities.
• Executes daily work orders.
• Coordinate and work with other maintenance team members.
• Tracks, analyzes, improves and issues reports pertaining to key maintenance performance indicators.
• Coordinates outside repair contractors.
• Assists with the planning and implementation of plant improvements, expansions and capital projects.
• Coordinates activities with Plant Operations Departments.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• 3 years of maintenance experience or industrial maintenance Associates degree.
• Strong knowledge of maintaining manufacturing equipment in one of these areas: motors, drives, air compressors, grinders, water pumps, PLC/HMI controls, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulics.
• Experience in bulk-powder plants is a plus.
