Our client is looking for an Engineering Manager to join their Cheswick, PA location.
Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Mentor and coach your engineering team for career growth and skill development. Performance Reviews: Conduct periodic reviews, providing feedback and setting development goals. Project Management: Assign and manage design engineering teams to meet project requirements on-time and within budget. Customer Interaction: Engage with customers through meetings, presentations, and written communication. Decision-Making: Drive and approve technical decisions to ensure project success. Documentation: Review and approve engineering documents like reports and customer deliverables. Design Reviews: Ensure design reviews are held in line with business processes. Proposal Activities: Lead and support proposal efforts, including market assessments and proposal writing. Collaboration: Work with the engineering management team on manpower assignments and process improvements. Risk Management: Oversee risk management efforts on projects. Production Support: Collaborate with Project Management and Manufacturing to stay informed of production status and drive improvements. Requirements: Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Master’s Degree preferred). Experience: Minimum of ten years in engineering and leadership roles in a design and production environment. Technical Skills: Strong aptitude in machine design and broad knowledge of EMD product lines. Project Management: Understanding of project management tools and their application in managing project costs and schedules. Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a technical team. Security: Must be a sole US citizen and able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
