Position Summary

The Manager, Executive Compensation is responsible for designing, implementing, and administering executive compensation programs that align with the company's strategic objectives and comply with regulatory requirements. The Manager, Executive Compensation will work closely with senior leadership, the Board of Directors, external consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure that the company's executive compensation programs are competitive, fair, and transparent.

  • Lead the development and execution of executive compensation strategies, policies, and practices that support the company's business goals and values
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking analysis to assess the competitiveness and effectiveness of executive compensation programs and make recommendations for enhancements or changes
  • Prepare and present executive compensation materials and reports for the Board of Directors and senior leadership
  • Manage the annual executive compensation cycle, including base salary, short-term and long-term incentives, equity awards, and benefits
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and governance standards related to executive compensation, including tax, accounting, disclosure, and reporting requirements
  • Preparation and management of the executive compensation section of the proxy statement annually
  • Partner with internal teams such as HR, Finance, Legal, and Communications to ensure alignment and integration of executive compensation programs with other company initiatives and policies
  • Monitor emerging trends and best practices in executive compensation and provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board of Directors
  • Manage external consultants and vendors to support executive compensation projects and initiatives
  • Provide guidance and education to executives and employees on executive compensation programs and processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in executive compensation, preferably in a large, complex, and global organization
  • Strong knowledge of executive compensation principles, practices, and regulations, including tax, accounting, disclosure, and reporting rules
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex data and scenarios
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with executive compensation software and tools
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP) designation is an asset

CST or EST time zones preferred

The estimated base salary range for this job is $110,000-$150,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $126,500-$180,000. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
