Reports to: Senior Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

Purpose:

The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis drives PANTHERx’s financial planning and analysis activities in alignment with strategic objectives. This role oversees and supports our financial planning process, analyzing financial data, and providing valuable insights and recommendations to our senior management team. This role ensures effective decision-making and financial performance, requiring exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams.

This is a hybrid position that requires on-site presence regularly in our Pittsburgh office, as determined by the Senior Director or Executive Leadership, or in response to specific job demands.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads and supports the financial planning and analysis process, including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Develops and maintains financial models and tools to support decision-making and drive business performance.
  • Conducts comprehensive financial analysis, identifies trends, and provides strategic insights to senior management.
  • Manages/supports weekly, monthly and quarterly dashboards, operating result packages and board materials.
  • Provides insightful analysis regarding period over period and actual vs. forecast performance; continually improves and manages variance analyses reporting.
  • Conducts ad-hoc research and analyses around performance and profitability, addressable market, resource allocations, operational efficiencies, etc.
  • Drives continual improvement for Gross Profit and Adjusted EBITDA.
  • Reviews and guides team to refine departmental planning and reporting processes and feedback mechanisms to increase transparency and accountability and improve upon the quality of future budgets and forecasts.
  • Works with FP&A business partners, accounting, people operations, to create annual and long-range plans as well as insightful reporting packages.
  • Builds an understanding of business drivers at both the product and overall enterprise levels.
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Drives continuous process improvements and enhancements for PANTHERx.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (4-6+ years) in financial planning and analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial analysis tools, such as Excel, and experience working with financial planning software.
  • Self-starter who can deliver in a dynamic environment under tight timelines and changing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present actionable insights.
  • A proven ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in a simple manner.
  • High sense of accountability and urgency.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within the specialty pharmacy industry or a related healthcare field.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional home office or office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
