The Injury Prevention Manager oversees the daily operations of the Injury Prevention team, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with documentation standards. They manage staff schedules, monitor productivity, and oversee the maintenance and inventory of patient lift equipment. Collaborating with various departments and vendors, they ensure equipment functionality and develop policies aligned with industry best practices. The manager also designs and implements safe patient handling training programs, analyzes program effectiveness, and enhances safety measures in coordination with other healthcare teams. They uphold Tampa General Hospital's mission, vision, and values in all duties performed.
Establish and enforce policies aligned with industry standards for safe patient handling.
Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for staff and affiliates.
Evaluate program effectiveness through data analysis and quality improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance safety measures and support worker's health
Technical Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in safe patient handling and injury prevention.
Familiarity in statistical analysis and outcome measures to assess program effectiveness.
Strong organizational skills.
Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements related to patient safety.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software for program evaluation and quality improvement initiatives.
Bachelor's Degree Business, Healthcare Administration, or Relevant field
Three (3) years of clinical experience in safe patient handling and mobility.
Experience should in be inclusive of previous supervisory experience.
