About The Role
Dandy is hiring a Manager of Manufacturing Strategy and Operations to join our rapidly growing venture-backed dental lab. A successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in operational & financial strategy and labor and capital planning. This role requires exceptional modeling skills, a strong understanding of labor/machine productivity, and the ability to collaborate across functions to drive strategic initiatives. This is a critical role that serves to align our supply chain, operations, and strategy with key economic outcomes for the business.
What You'll Do
Financial and Operational Strategy & Planning:
Partner with Finance for budgeting, long-range planning (LRP), and capital planning processes.
Ensure optimal economics and supply chain security, ownership of key unit economics underwriting
Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP):
Help manage a comprehensive S&OP process, including regular meetings to review commercial demand and supply.
Align cross-functional capabilities and capacities to support management decision-making.
Provide a full view of the operational plan and resulting financials.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
Develop and execute strategic plans to drive operational excellence and cost savings.
Utilize exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, along with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze and interpret data to identify opportunities for cost savings and improvement.
Create and prepare reports and presentations for management.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive continuous improvements in supply chain processes, network design, and S&OP processes.
Adapt strategies to fit evolving business needs and enhance overall performance.
Manufacturing Efficiency:
Collaborate with the engineering team to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes.
What We're Looking For
4+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, or private equity AND/OR a high-performance manufacturing/supply chain environment.
Proven experience in financial modeling and labor productivity analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Understanding and exposure to manufacturing/supply chain concepts with interest in network design, S&OP, inventory, or physical flow management.
Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with people at all levels in an organization.
Comfortable with some travel, up to 20%.
Bonus Points For
Consulting, Investment Banking or Private Equity experience.
Proficiency in SQL/Python.
