We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Applications Manager to oversee and grow our client's IT applications team, consisting of offshore developers. The ideal candidate will have a strong hands-on background in SharePoint, SQL, .Net, and proven supervisory and management skills. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate complex technical concepts into clear, non-technical terms for various stakeholders, driving the growth and optimization of existing platforms. This is a Direct Hire opportunity based in the Waukesha HQ and will offer a hybrid work schedule.


Key Responsibilities:


Team Leadership and Supervision:

  • Manage, mentor, and guide a team of offshore developers to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Application Development and Maintenance:

  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of applications, with a focus on SharePoint, SQL, and .Net technologies.
  • Ensure applications are developed in accordance with best practices and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Project Management:

  • Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, set priorities, and manage project timelines.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management.

Platform Growth and Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities for enhancing existing platforms and driving their growth to meet evolving business needs.
  • Implement best practices for application scalability, performance, and security.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing new solutions as appropriate.

Technical and Non-Technical Communication:

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, non-technical terms for various stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and end-users.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions and documentation to ensure end-users understand and effectively use the applications.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in application development and management, with a focus on SharePoint, SQL, and .Net.
  • Experience with C#, ASP.Net MVC, Web API and Power Apps
  • Proven experience managing and supervising a team of developers, including offshore teams.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and drive platform growth and optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
