Boon has an exciting career opportunity for a Manager of Retirement Administration. The Manager of Retirement Administration  is responsible for driving white glove administrative support for client’s retirement offerings. This includes account management, managing team members and supporting the sales process through implementation. The department provides full-service support to client’s regarding all aspects of their retirement programs. The department is responsible for plan implementation, coordinating compliance reporting, reconciling and submitting plan contributions and answering non investment employer and employee questions. The Manager is also responsible for vendor management and carrier communication.

What You'll Do

  • Manages the implementation of new retirement groups from post-sale to inception.
  • Provides oversight of the Retirement Services Account Managers and is responsible for their performance and development.
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the retirement department.
  • Reviews action plans and establishes performances goals for sales team.
  • Hires, trains, supports, tracks sales performance, provides performance feedback, counsels for improved performance, motivates and recognizes employees, and escalates employee issues to manager and/or Human Resources
  • Partners with the Account Management team and other internal departments to provide consistent marketing and customer service to existing clients.
  • Monitors and facilitates client distribution requests for applicable clients that have 3/16 services.
  • May represent Company at trade associations, conferences and tradeshows to network and promote products.
  • Required to pass all applicable trainings specific to HIPAA and any other company required trainings .
  • Follow the company policies and procedures required to comply with applicable data privacy and confidentiality requirements, including but not limited to SOC controls, and HIPAA Privacy and Security regulations.
  • Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

  • Minimum of 5 + years’ experience in the employee benefits/retirement industry required .
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or equivalent education and experience required .
  • 5 years of management experience.
  • A bility to handle multiple projects and implementations with varying deliverables.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize in a busy work environment.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to drive retirement teams.
  • Thorough knowledge of Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) law required .
  • Expert computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and the Internet.
