The Role:


Ever+Other exclusively focuses on providing CFO services for the Consumer & Retail industry and aims to be the most elite strategic offering in the market. We work directly as the trusted right-hand of some of the brightest founders and business owners shaping the next generation of Consumer startups. For us, being a CFO is not merely about financial planning; it’s about being a true thought partner, opening doors, advising on pivotal growth decisions, leading fundraising strategy, and sculpting narratives that maximize value and probability of success.


As the #2 hire on the team, you have a unique opportunity to lead client engagements while simultaneously building Ever+Other from the ground up with the founder, Amer Shaar. You will lead and advise clients on essential financial, business strategy, and fundraising projects. You will also have the opportunity to be involved across Ever+Other's internal business operations, product development, and go-to-market strategies. This role will allow you to cultivate a powerful network across top founders, investors, and partners within the Consumer & Retail ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities:


This is a high-impact role working with our clients to:

  • Apply rigorous problem-solving to tackle clients’ challenges in business growth and financial management.
  • Leverage advanced analytical techniques and expertise in financial modeling to develop intuitive financial models, automated tools to monitor KPIs, inventory and demand planning, and cash flow management.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted partner by helping clients construct the necessary infrastructure to scale their business and improve performance.
  • Enhance investor discussions and board meetings by analyzing and tracking relevant KPIs to uncover strategic opportunities.
  • Facilitate debt and equity venture financing by supporting founders with fundraising strategies, drafting investor decks, assisting with mock pitches, engaging in investor discussions, and comparing term sheets.


In partnership with Ever+Other's founder, you will also:

  • Identify areas of opportunity within Ever+Other's go-to-market, product, and R&D operations and develop strategies to address them.
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage new team members.
  • Develop new products and services that add high value to clients and partners.
  • Continuously analyze data and ideate strategies to identify opportunities for accelerated growth and improved operational efficiency.
  • Own initiatives to constantly evolve the CFO product and service offering, leveraging the latest software and AI tools.
  • Establish yourself as a recognized leader in the Consumer & Retail ecosystem, contributing to thought leadership and organizing key industry events.


About You:


We are looking for people who demonstrate the following qualities:

  • 4-10 years of relevant experience in a combination of venture capital, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or strategic finance at a high-growth e-commerce or consumer & retail company.
  • Strong interest and passion for the Consumer & Retail industry.
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills with the ability to own complicated models end-to-end.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to process large amounts of unstructured information to reveal underlying stories.
  • Excellent communication skills and client management capabilities with the ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks and concrete action plans.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to independently carry out rigorous problem-solving.
  • This position is a remote employment position in the United States.
