Summary:

The Manager of Project Management is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of multiple projects within the organization, while also directly managing assigned projects. This role involves coordinating project teams, managing resources, ensuring projects stay within scope, time, and budget, and aligning project outcomes with business objectives. The Manager of Project Management will implement project management methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure consistent and high-quality delivery of projects. Additionally, this role requires establishing and maintaining a deep understanding of relevant business requirements and customer expectations to effectively communicate this knowledge in real-time conversations with executive leadership and key stakeholders.

Job Details:

  • Manage a team of Project Managers both internal and contracted; conduct regular 1:1 meetings, mentor, and foster a collaborative and productive work environment across the team
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the project management team
  • Serve as the escalation point for project stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and team members
  • Assign tasks to team members and ensure accountability for project deliverables
  • Allocate resources efficiently and ensure optimal utilization to maximize project outcomes
  • Coordinate with department heads and senior management to secure the necessary resources for project success
  • In conjunction with the business, maintain a 12-month project roadmap and oversee the implementation of project plans, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables and provide regular project status reports to executive leadership
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and manage expectations effectively
  • Implement and enforce project management and change management standards and methodologies ensuring all projects adhere to quality standards and best practices
  • Directly manage assigned projects, taking responsibility for planning, execution, monitoring, and closing
  • Stay current with industry trends and integrate new tools and practices
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects
  • 3+ years experience managing teams
  • PMP (Project Management Professional), Certified Change Practitioner (ProSci), or similar certification
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate professionally across all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello)
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
  • Knowledge of change management methodologies such as ADKAR, Lewin, Kotter, PDCA
  • Proficient with use of Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure
  • Leadership, adaptability, and conflict resolution skills
  • Occasional travel to project sites internationally as required
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support international teams and meet project deadlines
