The Manager, Research & Business Analyst, sits within the IM-US Innovation Lab (iLab), a pillar in

MarTech Product Management. In this role, you will join a highly innovative and intrapreneurial group

that is focused on accelerating our strategy by identifying, executing, and scaling new innovations across

the enterprise. With an eye toward the complexities of the US healthcare ecosystem and a strong

background in research analytics and business analytics you will bridge across two key, critical, and

complimentary areas: market research and business analyst. You will execute on innovation strategy

and be responsible for building out the data, insights, and analytics infrastructure for the iLab. You will

be accountable to deliver market and business insights and business requirements that support the

delivery of digital solutions with a strong impact potential and that disrupts the status quo.

Market Research: With an expertise in landscape scanning, research, and report delivery, you will

research and assess the viability of new ideas for experimentation based on business impact potential.

You will conduct your analysis via external available data sets as well as perform internal readiness

assessments. You will provide written reports of your analysis and summarize your findings, insights and

recommendations via executive presentations. Your exceptional software skills will shine here, as well

as your oral and written communication skills.

Business Analyst: Your expertise as a business analyst will enable you to help the Innovation Lab

accelerate delivery of Client solutions that yield strong business impact. You will work closely with

business & IT stakeholders to understand existing backlog, use cases and requirements for iLab

programs and projects. You will also gather additional requirements from business & IT stakeholders,

and you will excel at engaging, collaborating with, and influencing critical internal stakeholders and

partners across all areas of the organization to bring new innovations to life.

The ideal candidate will also have an in-depth understanding of process improvement, design thinking,

and human-centered design and product management.

The Manager, Research & Business Analyst will lead a matrix and multi-disciplinary

team of functional experts to create the iLab business analytics and insights from scratch, utilizing strong

influencing and motivational leadership skills to gain the support of key stakeholders across the

organization. Flexibility and agility as the Innovation Lab moves at the speed of innovation.

Job Purpose

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct and report on market research for high impact potential ideas to establish evidence,

inform on market landscape, identifying gaps & opportunities.

  • Lead in close collaboration with DIA, Marketing Automation, and other key stakeholders DIA

integration to develop real-time user experience insights and analytics, dashboards, and KPI

performance of iLab programs/projects.

  • Ensure data capture and data use complies with Client guidelines and policies.
  • Ensure that required program artifacts/requirements and functional documents are created in a

timely, comprehensive manner.

  • Support the Program Lead with the creation of epics, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with project manager(s) in managing experimentation scope and requirements and

bring stakeholders to a mutual understanding of the requirements.

  • Track & manage iLab external partner contracts & partner/brand spend for wholistic view of

innovation investment and illuminate opportunities in enterprise approach/economies of scale.

  • Analyze the impact of the requirements on the system and identify gaps, contradictions, and

inconsistencies.

  • Leverage Jira or other appropriate software to create, maintain, extend, tag, and refine Epics,

and User Stories.

  • Participate in clarification of issues with iLab team & customer stakeholders.
  • Advise leadership on how key insights reveal gaps and/or opportunities to identify the right

solutions for identified problems.

  • Lead multi-functional, multi-disciplinary teams of functional experts and external partners to

develop iLab dashboards, data-driven analytics, insights, and ROI projections rooted in evidencebased hypotheses, using validated instruments.

  • Contribute as a critical member of the innovation team and exhibit strong team-player

behaviors ensuring timely technical deliverables and coordinating with other teammates to

accelerate experimentation.

  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with cross-functional teams to deliver on time and on

budget.

  • Drive the clear and effective articulation of project aspiration, insights, and value drivers to help

direct the activities of a cross-functional team.

  • Ensure team reporting consistency across multiple SharePoint and MS Teams sites ensuring

documents are catalogued, easy to find, and up to date. And ensure accurate minutes of

meetings including key decisions, next steps, accountabilities, and timelines are published and

maintained.

  • Exhibit a strong understanding of research techniques to select the appropriate research

methodology and supporting techniques to meet the defined business objective.

  • Strong writing and presentation skills to effectively interpret data, write reports, and make

actionable recommendations.

  • Exhibit a strong understanding of social engagement tools, i.e., web, social listening, analytics.

Education

What you’ll bring to the role:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent University degree in Business, Marketing, or other comparable

discipline (Degree will be verified).

What You Will Bring To The Role

  • At least 5 years in data, insights, analytics and/or digital product development.
  • At least 3 years business analyst in Product Management
  • Excellent use of analytics software’s such as Excel and PowerBI to create dashboards.
  • Excellent use of office software such as Word and PowerPoint for report generation and

Executive presentations, respectively.

  • Experience with Agile ways of working.
  • Strong product management and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, manage issues, resolve conflicts,

and mitigate risks.
