We are seeking a Strategic Initiatives Marketing Manager on a contract basis to help support our client’s day to day business needs. This role performs tasks as necessary to support the Transitions team. They execute administrative and routine functions that supports product disposition including disposition type, coding, SKU listing and compliance. This role is a hybrid setup in Bolingbrook, IL.
In this role, you will be a key marketing leader – conceptualizing, developing, & implementing strategies in support of some of the largest enterprise-wide strategic platforms.
The Manager, Strategic Initiatives Marketing, reports to the Director, Strategic Initiatives Marketing and is responsible for assisting the team with the support and execution of promotional campaigns and events that are focused on accelerating category growth.
The ideal candidate is a strong marketer with experience motivating and developing others as well as collaborating with cross functional teams. The candidate understands how to build impactful and integrated omnichannel marketing programs that drive growth, consumer engagement and strong ROI.

What You'll Do
- Be an indispensable partner to all merchandising teams as you bring to life marketing campaigns in support of largest promotional events.
- Execute promotional campaign plans, including ideation and integration across digital and physical marketing channels.
- Deliver thoughtful briefs and plans that inspire marketing channel leaders and agency partners.
- Analyze performance and learnings from previous campaigns and initiatives to inform future strategies and execution.
- Collaborate closely with customer growth marketing, analytics, consumer insights, media, creative, merchandising, and other key stakeholder groups to ensure execution of marketing plans/strategies is data driven, clear and cohesive.
- Be constantly ahead of the curve on culture, beauty trends, current events, evolution of marketing tools and approaches as well as retail news, consumer behavior, and competitive activity.
- 5+ years brand marketing experience; consumer facing marketing experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading 360 integrated campaigns across the consumer marketing funnel that delivered measurable business results.
- A big picture strategic thinker with the ability to translate quantitative and qualitative data/insights into marketing strategies, as well as a highly organized "doer," with a data-driven mentality and a bias towards action.
- Demonstrated creativity and creative management, including collaborating with a creative team and/or agency partners.
- Comfortable with analytics and data driven business planning. Able to interpret data, insights and trends to drive strategic programs.
- Successful track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams with ability to lead with influence to gain buy-in from stakeholders.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills that influence decision making and inspire great work. Comfortable interacting with all levels within the organization
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment and highly skilled in prioritization with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong experience managing through ambiguity to shape, elevate and move planning forward.
- Passion for business/the work and a lifelong learner.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MA or MBA preferred.
- Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) marketing experience preferred.
