A health client is seeking a Managing Director of Health Benefit Services. This leader will be responsible for driving business growth in the employee benefit trust and religious medical trust. The role oversees underwriting, sales, product management and board of trustee management. The managing director provides leadership to the health benefit services team and ensures exceptional member service. This is a retained search.
Responsibilities
A health client is seeking a Managing Director of Health Benefit Services. This leader will be responsible for driving business growth in the employee benefit trust and religious medical trust. The role oversees underwriting, sales, product management and board of trustee management. The managing director provides leadership to the health benefit services team and ensures exceptional member service. This is a retained search.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute divisional strategy, leading the team to ensure high-quality service.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Collaborate with the chief financial officer and head of operations on budgets, forecasts and financial targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with members and brokers to provide personalized solutions.
- Develop sales opportunities, marketing programs, and direct educational and membership enrollment efforts.
- Enhance customer experience, streamline processes and optimize technology.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships, monitor compliance and respond accordingly.
- Administer health benefits in accordance with plan documents and policies.
- 10+ years of experience working in health benefit programs administration
- 5+ years of executive leadership experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration or related field (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of health insurance, healthcare regulations, compliance standards and best practices in claims management
- Proficiency using Salesforce as a customer relationship management tool
