Job Description
Develop and optimize efficient, cost-effective, and validated manufacturing processes for medical devices, focusing on both capital and disposable devices. This includes tasks related to assembly, lot release testing, sterilization, and packaging.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for medical devices.
Produce production-level assembly and part drawings for all components and sub-assemblies.
Incorporate Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Six Sigma, and LEAN principles into product and process designs to ensure manufacturability, minimize costs, and achieve optimal production efficiency.
Conduct DFMA reviews and cycle time optimization.
Identify and evaluate potential contract manufacturing partners based on quality, cost, delivery timelines, and regulatory compliance.
Lead collaboration with contract manufacturers to develop efficient and reliable manufacturing processes.
Act as the liaison between the Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) and Canon, coordinating manufacturing activities as directed by management.
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical device manufacturing.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Design Transfer to production.
Proficiency in Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
Strong knowledge of SolidWorks and process validation.
Experience with catheter manufacturing is a plus
