Job Title: Production Manager

Purpose:
As our Production Manager, you'll organize and oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring the smooth running of all production activities. Your goal is to build the best products on-time while maintaining food and employee safety, continuously improving processes, and keeping production cost-effective. You'll oversee the blending and packing operations, leading your team to success.
Essential Functions:
Lead the Production team (Blending and Packaging Operations).
Establish daily, weekly, and monthly goals for production and coordinate plans to meet those goals.
Oversee production processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
Manage production planning and processes, establishing workflows to enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product integrity or safety.
Ensure food safety and employee safety are top priorities.
Ensure products meet quality standards and hold the team accountable for maintaining these standards.
Write production reports, analyze data, and optimize for efficiency.
Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime.
Implement improvements to the production process.
Identify production bottlenecks and find efficient solutions.
Supervise and evaluate the performance of production personnel.
Ensure all employees follow industry-standard health and safety guidelines.
Provide timely production information.
Set ambitious production goals and communicate them to key personnel including coordination with the quality, warehouse, and customer teams.
The ability to speak Spanish is helpful.
Knowledge/Competencies:
Proven experience as a production manager.
Personal experience with a broad range of manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
Great verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with computers and eager to maximize software knowledge.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Strong computer skills, especially in Excel and NetSuite ERP.
Ability to make balanced decisions with sensitivity to others and the bigger picture.
Motivated to strengthen the team, even if at odds with personal desires (outward mindset).
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to coach and motivate others in alignment with company goals.
Skills/Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required for well qualified candidates.
5-10 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
Experience leading people.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software such as NetSuite or SAP.
Knowledge of performance evaluation.
Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
Strong understanding of safety regulations.
Strong project management skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly developed interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team.
