Manufacturing Supervisor

Due to growth, we are looking for a Production Supervisor for our Oswego, IL manufacturing plant.

This position is a hands-on role responsible tomanage the productivity and quality of a production team to achieve target goals, productivity and safety standards.

Additionally, this person will:

• Be responsible for managing a production team ensuring productivity standards are achieved ensuring the smooth running of the production processes
• Ensure quality specifications are met for all product produced
• Have a strong machining and mechanical ability to trouble shoot problems independently
• Ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve problems
• Manage, develop and motivate direct reporting staff ensuring expectations are met
• Monitor, measure and report on production related process performance, general issues
• Ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff
• Ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are followed
• Work closely with other Supervisors to ensure production workflow through effective communications tools
• Ensure that the training skills are met
• Use lean methodology to improve the production throughput
• Play an active role in the company's continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company
• Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace
  
  

The right person must have:

• Minimum of 4 years managing and leading people in a manufacturing production environment
• Manufacturing degree or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of 5S, Six sigma, Lean manufacturing principles, and Root cause and corrective action
