Manufacturing Technician

Job Description:
  • Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations which may include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment.
  • Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents.
  • Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units.
  • Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

  • Entry-level support for individual contributors.
  • Work is closely supervised.
  • Work consists of tasks that are routine.
  • Explains facts and practices related to the job area.

  • Works with close supervision on routine tasks.
  • Detailed instructions are provided and close peer review is required.

Education and Experience:
  • Requires minimal job knowledge/skills.
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.
Must Haves:
  • Due to the nature of the job the candidate should be able to lift 5 to 10 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions – On a screen/monitor.
  • Basic work experience in assembly with smaller parts.
  • Be able to login and type in notations of any product issue in the computer system.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Problem Solving.
  • Teamwork.
Nice to Have:
  • Building models, legos, making jewelry. Crafting type experience or small assembly.
