The Research Analyst will play a critical role in the development, execution, and completion of research supporting GovOS' growth into state and large local government markets. This role will be focused on researching and tracking legislation that has an impact on GovOS' long-term growth prospects nationwide. The research analyst will not only support our government relations team on legislative initiatives but will also lead our market research efforts focused on state and large local government markets. This will include the use of GovOS internal and external data sources, government and industry data resources, and developing an overall understanding of how governments procure software solutions and the impact of associated legislation.
The Research Analyst will contribute to pipeline development efforts through market research by reviewing multiple data sources such as government databases, procurement forecasts, third-party market research sites, industry newsletters, government Industry websites, legislation, and regulations. Ultimately, the research analyst will become an expert on core GovOS technology markets and be responsible for developing, maintaining, and reporting on all associated legislative and market dynamics.

Role & Responsibilities
- Support the opportunity capture process for specific states by:
- Researching and analyzing competitors
- Gathering client intelligence
- Conducting research on major competitors
- Work with key strategic partners in the state markets
- Organize and continually update information as required
- Design and develop data analyses, visualize the output, and interpret and present associated findings as part ongoing research projects
- Complete quick-turnaround ad hoc research requests for a variety of internal stakeholders
- Market and competitive research, analysis, and reporting
- Legislative and policy research, analysis, and reporting
- Data model and associated dashboard development to bring together all data sources into a cohesive view for actionability '
- Partnering with various departments across GovOS
- BA/BS in related field (economics, political science, government, procurement)
- 2 + years in related research experience within the public sector
- Ability to understand and build market models
- Perform market and competitor analysis
- MA in related field (public policy, MBA, economics)
- Government relations and/or GovTech market experience
- $70,000 – 90,000 annual base + annual performance bonus
