The Marketing Ops Team is a commercial function responsible for planning and optimizing our delivery of leads to our clients. With a unique view across the entire lead generation funnel, the team has a large number of levers at its disposal to plan and improve performance for MVF and its clients. The team ensures that clients perform well from our leads, continue to order higher budgets and that MVF is able to fulfil these orders efficiently and profitably.

With a unique view across the entire lead generation funnel the Marketing Ops team has a large number of levers at its disposal to plan and improve our lead generation performance for MVF and its clients. The team ensures that clients perform well from our leads, continue to order higher budgets and that MVF is able to fulfill these orders efficiently and profitably.

The Role

The Specialist role encompasses elements of consultancy, high-level subcat management & strategy, project management, process review and training delivery. It is reserved strictly for people with demonstrated commercial acumen, excellent subcat strategy execution, and strong project delivery.

They will be expected to lead high-level projects with multiple stakeholders in areas including (but not limited to) disposition data, Marketing Operations best practice and training, and tech product delivery.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to longer-term high-value roadmap projects across the wider Ops team and Hubs
  • Supports the Commercial Head by leading on key projects outlined in the hub road map
  • Key Subcat Management, this could include managing and exceeding targets for important/complex high GP contributing Subcats or potentially improving the performance of underperforming high potential Subcats
  • Leads on the strategy to deliver client performance goals (ROI) from Subcat delivery through working closely with marketing. Defines and ensures Ops adhere to best practice strategy on analyzing and interpreting client disposition and creating effective strategies and targets for Biddable
  • Identify and deliver on high-impact Subcat or Portfolio opportunities
  • Defines and is an expert in subcat strategy and uses this to coach and support Execs and Senior Execs across the team.
  • Will suggest process improvements or opportunities for automation in relation to Subcat management activities and insights (and work with the Ops Data Specialist to ensure these are delivered to the team with maximum value)
  • Has expert product/category knowledge (e.g. Telephones) and is able to helicopter between relevant hubs to ensure knowledge is shared and learnings are maximized
  • Attends toolkits and subset reviews (where required) across hubs, to provide feedback, mark them and ensure standards across Hubs are maintained. This person will often have a unique and granular view of comparable exec performance, and comparable subcat strategy.
  • Offers support to Hub Manager and Commercial Head
  • If required, will mentor 1-2 direct reports
  • Will train new starters and Execs in key subcat delivery areas, as well as relevant platforms
  • Ensures that outstanding subcat strategy and learning is highlighted and shared in the Ops team meeting for maximum engagement and uptake
  • Contributes to the values assessment and salary review processes.
  • Seeks and provides ongoing feedback to team members.
  • Assesses video interviews and participates in 1st round Ops Exec interviews

  • Has very strong analytical skills (Looker, Excel etc.)
  • Has excellent logic and problem-solving ability
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and can communicate effectively and concisely
  • Is able to make a bold decision and push through a business case
  • Has experience in opportunity analysis, project management, trouble shooting, workflow process development and stakeholder management.
  • Brings commercial and product knowledge from outside of MVF
  • Strong coaching abilities
  • Deep marketing and commercial knowledge
