Paralegal

JOB DESCRIPTION: Singleton Schreiber, LLP is seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented paralegal to join our Mass Torts team. This position is fast-paced and supports a team of attorneys doing regular litigation in state and federal courts. It will involve collaboration of other paralegals and case assistants.

Salary And Benefits

$28.00-$38.00/hour

Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.

Job Duties Will Include

• Communicating regularly with clients.
• Reviewing and organizing clients' documents.
• Responsible for court filings, document management and review, propounding and responding to discovery, noticing depositions, and similar
• Management of electronic information, document management, and document review including bates-stamping, scanning, coding, and searching in complex litigation.
• Creation of privilege logs.
• Preparing trial exhibits
• Uploading and updating client information into a case management database.
• Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.
• Staying abreast of rules of civil procedure in both state and federal courts, including CM/ECF filing/Pacer and arranging for service of pleadings and subpoenas.
• Identifying, tracking, and managing case-related deadlines in an electronic calendaring system.
  
  
  

Qualification And Requirements

• Candidates must possess a paralegal certificate or meet the Bus. & Prof. Code
• 6450 requirements.
• 3+ years of experience as a paralegal.
• 3+ years of experience in Mass Torts and Civil Litigation.
• Experience in case management software programs.
• Proficient in Adobe, Excel, Microsoft Office, Outlook
• Familiar with E-Discovery and law programs such as, Sharefile, PACER, CaseAnywhere, Lexis, Smart Advocate, Everlaw, FileVine, OneLegal
• A successful candidate will be detail oriented and organized, be a team player, be reliable, and capable of multitasking and managing several time-critical projects under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Familiar with working up cases from pre-litigation to post-trial motions.
