Base pay range
- Location: Mountain View, California – Onsite
- Contract Length: 10 Months with extension / contract to perm transition after 10 months.
- Contract Type: W2 – Inclusive of employment benefits or 1099 available
- Full-time contract 8 Hours per day, 5 days per week
- USA Citizens & Green Card Holders only – No sponsorship can be provided.
- Pay rate: $30 - $55 Per hour – With flexibility & Depending on experience
The Aeromechanical team within this eVTOL vendor are looking for a CAD Design Engineer to join their dynamic and innovative team. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting changes on drawings and 3D CAD per manufacturing engineers' feedback. This is a critical role in the
development of our technology, and the successful candidate will be instrumental in bringing our
eVTOLs to market.
Experience working with Catia in a commercial environment is essential when applying for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update 3D models and drawings using CATIA V6.
- Manage CAD release and create change actions using 3DExperience.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to implement feedback into CAD designs.
- Ensure designs meet all relevant specifications and standards.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent/similar subject.
- Proficiency in CATIA V6/3DX for 3D modeling and drawings.
- Experience with 3DExperience for CAD release and creating change actions.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
- 12 Months + Experience working in commercial environment.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience releasing designs to different maturity levels using 3DX or other PLM
- software.
- Previous experience in the aerospace or eVTOL industry.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and certification processes.
