Mechanical Design Engineer II for Honeywell International, Inc. (Acton, MA)
Responsibilities
Qualified applicants must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, or a related field and one (1) year of engineering experience. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in stated fields, and three (3) years of engineering experience. Full term of experience must include: thermodynamics; heat transfer; mechanisms; CAD modeling, FEA and CFD analysis tools; design for plastic injection molded, sheet metal fabrication and various metal forming methods; manufacturing and assembly methods and equipment. Experience must include: fluid dynamics; and mechanical vibration. Telecommuting permitted up to two (2) times per week.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development and improvement of electro-mechanical products and processes related to airflow control and monitoring products and accessories.
- Analyzes and designs mechanical components, including material selection and required fabrication and assembly methods for current and future products.
- Responsible for technical organization and conduction of projects encompassing the design, analysis, evaluation, modification and fabrication of mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies and components.
- Independently conducts investigation of complex technical problems including testing and the design and implementation of appropriate solutions.
- Supports manufacturing and field personnel with insightful analysis and problem solving to resolve issues.
- Job Site: Acton, MA 40 hours/week
- Eligible for Employee Referral Program: $1500
