We are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Manager with strong Design and leadership skills. Working for a international Automation Company.
Job responsibilities:
Lead the engineering department, specifically mentoring the mechanical engineering team
Come up with concepts, carry out development, and supervise assembly systems and tooling in conjunction with your team
Train and mentor engineering team members in all engineering matters requiring managerial support
Actively manage the engineering scopes of our customer projects regarding cost, quality, schedule and resource planning
Be part of the management team and support your management partners e.g. in Sales and Project Management as well as upper management in all engineering related projects
Interface with our customers and sales team during the project acquisition stage
Be the face to our engineering organization in our headquarters and ensure the know-how knowledge is communicated to our local team
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, specialization
Strong understanding of conceptual design of automated and assembly systems
Working understanding of CAD Programs (Catia)
Hand-on mentality, expressed passion for design and innovation
