Job Description

We are seeking an outstanding mechanical engineer drafter with superb technical and analytical capabilities and a proven ability to get things done quickly and effectively. This role involves developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs and conducting related analysis, specifically for flight-critical avionics systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering suitable for both prototype and production-level designs.

Hard Skills

• BSc/MSc in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent
• Knowledge of MCAD software for 3D modeling and 2D drafting
• Experience designing mechanical assemblies for electronics
• Experience with rapid prototype tooling
• Experience with production tooling
• Experience in designing control cabinets
• Experience in schematics
• Solidworks
• 3D CAD Modeling
• GD&T
• Metal Casting
• Finite Element Analysis
• Tolerance Stack Up Analysis

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Seattle, Washington and some days remote.

Work Environment

Atlas Building, Downtown Seattle
