About The Role
Halo Braid is looking for a mechanical engineer to help us refine our product. In this role you will collaborate with the founding team, engineers and designers to build the product. You're a strong problem solver who can design and prototype under deadlines. You'll develop key mechanisms to drive product design architecture to closure. This is a contract position.

Requirements
Ideally you have 4+ years professional experience with:
3D Solidworks CAD with best practices for part design, complex assemblies and configurations
Rapid prototyping and manufacturing (3D printing, CNC machining, laser cutting)
Mass manufacturing methods (injection molding, CNC etc.)
Experience working directly with industrial designers translating CMF requirements into mechanical design
Design for human interaction
Crafting and testing proof-of-concept models and prototypes
Gears, motors, and mechatronic components
Delivering complex mechanical products to defined schedules
Bonus if you have experience with:
GD&T
Completion and release of component design and documentation (including 2D drawings)
Mass produced consumer electronics
Hair styling tools
