Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, prototyping, and iterating mechanical systems for our cutting-edge MRI and robotic solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced startup environment, where your contributions will directly impact the development and success of our technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, prototype, and iterate on mechanical systems to improve manufacturability, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop manufacturing drawings and documentation for systems.
  • Contribute to the development of MR-guided robotic solutions for medical applications, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Provide comprehensive system support, including MRI prototype fabrication, testing, development, and verification.
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts to refine system designs and processes.
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards and comply with medical device regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong portfolio of designing and developing complex mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and a solid understanding of manufacturing drawings and processes.
  • Experience in hardware engineering, including fabrication, assembly, and integration.
  • Strong foundation in mechanics, electronics, and basic electromagnetic theory.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and solve complex engineering problems.

Desired Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with magnet systems, including passive and active magnetic assemblies.
  • Expertise in designing and fabricating systems using 3D printing, CNC fabrication, and general machine shop methods.
  • Broad knowledge of engineering disciplines, particularly Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Proven track record in rapid prototyping and development for hardware components.
  • Experience in test and evaluation activities, with a focus on hardware elements and factors.
