Newell Corporation is currently looking to add an experienced Mechanical Engineer to our team. Newell Corp. offers a wide variety of welding/fabricating/machining & assembly services at our facility located in Arlington, WA. A Mechanical Engineer would report to the engineering manager and would be responsible for designing, analyzing and making detailed drawings for manufacturing.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in large scale assembly tooling design for defense, aerospace and space projects.
• 5+ years of experience in design for manufacturing.
• 5+ years of experience using CAD software such CATIA V5 or similar.
• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or similar STEM field of study.
• Strong work ethic and interest in design, engineering and manufacturing.
  
  

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Familiarity with CNC milling/turning operation and programming.
• Familiarity with welding and weld inspection.
• Familiarity with inspection and metrology techniques/equipment such as CMMs or laser trackers.
• Familiarity with quality management systems such as AS9100.
