The Solidworks Modeler/Drafter will provide support for Surgical development projects focusing on risk management, test method development, inspection methodologies, and design transfer.
This includes close coordination with manufacturing sites for test or clinical builds as well as lab activities for design verification testing with R&D.
Will work in a fast paced and dynamic environment where taking initiative and collaborating cross-functionally are critical for success.
Key Role Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be experienced in SolidWorks providing drafting and modeling to support engineering
Must have advanced SolidWorks capabilities and experience working in a product development environment at a manufacturing company
2D drawing to 3D model conversion experience
Must have excellent 2D drafting competency on view layout and how dimensions and details should be shown on a drawing
Supporting - support engineering team with 3D modeling and prototype drawings during product development phase
Must have 3D surfacing experience with complex geometries
Self-motivated and detail oriented in a fast-paced environment
Utilize 3D CAD expertise - working closely with Engineer team members to empower 3D Printing in support of functional prototyping and product sales sampling
Creating and revising production drawings (detail and assembly drawings)
Making final model and/or drawing, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project
Communicating with QE, R&D Engineering, and Manufacturing regarding new and revised prints
Maintaining an organized digital file system for drawings via SolidWorks with standards and specifications
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
2-4 year's experience in Modeling and Drafting required.
