Role: Mechanical Engineer III
Location: San Diego, CA - Hybrid
Duration: 12 Months
Role Type: Hybrid 3 days on site. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Wed & Fri remote.
Note: 25 % Travel is involved. Local US. To do design reviews and sometimes go to suppliers to see progress of molds. (Once or twice a quarter, Within US and Tijuana, Mexico)
Must Have Skills
Looking for a Sr Molding and tooling engineer.
Previous experience in injection molding and plastic.
Metal injection experience is required.
The product has 30 plus parts that are metal injection based.
Experience with Dye casting.
Experience with Design of injection molding and validation of molds.
Proficiency in Solidworks and understanding of Flow Analysis tools.
Exposure to medical devices is key. Medical device, FDA regulation experience is a big plus.
Class I & II medical device experience would be ideal.
Candidates from Medical device background are ideal but other regulated industries such as Aerospace are also considered as well.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. More years of experience will also be considered.

Initial phone screen followed by onsite interview. For far away candidate's interviews can be done remotely.
