Media Planner
270M is a boutique marketing collective that specializes in paid, owned, and earned media. The agency aligns future-forward brands with customer-centric, creative messaging that prioritizes real-time engagement and customized connections between client partners and their audiences.
The Part-Time Media Planner/Buyer is to be the day-to-day steward of media management for assigned brands, including competitive analysis, accurate budget control and flow of media activity. You will work closely with the Media Director to develop all recommendations, using your media knowledge to make insightful recommendations consistent with the approved strategy to deliver clients’ needs/objectives.
Qualifications
- Assist the Director in the development of media plans
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of media fundamentals, including media cost-outs, target audience development, and communication goals (i.e. reach/frequency, campaign objectives, CPA, etc.)
- Execute media plans while adhering to established budgets and timelines
- Provide transparent media stewardship including on-going campaign performance optimizations, billing and budget reconciliation, and campaign troubleshooting for assigned accounts.
- Maintain accurate budget control and flow of media activity and update clients on a regular basis
- Develop strong working relationships with partner vendors (where/when applicable), helping create a seamless communications process
- Demonstrate proficiency with systems/tools
Required Skills
- Proven experience with Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Reddit ad platforms
- Proven experience with Google Search, Shopping and Display
- Experience with DSP preferred
- Expertise in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Media project management experience
- Working knowledge of email marketing platforms i.e. Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Pardot preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of SEO concepts preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of Shopify platform preferred but not required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or equivalent field of study.
- Minimum 4 years of media planning/buying experience.
- Demonstrated critical thinking ability.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
- Self-starter who is comfortable with being flexible in an ever-changing environment.
- Energetic, driven to succeed, team player
- Experience with digital media platforms and ad-serving technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Detail orientated, organized, multi-tasker who can work in a fast-paced advertising environment
- Competency in mathematical concepts
- Demonstrate proactive ability to help other group members outside of immediate team
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field
