About The Team

We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Media Transformation Manager to lead digital transformation and media modernization for Zillow’s Paid Media team! This person will partner with our agency and in-house teams to become an expert on what’s next in the paid media landscape. They will be responsible for working cross-functionally to translate those insights into an innovation testing roadmap, creating feedback loops that inform ongoing strategy and set the whole team on the course towards more impactful media plans.

About The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Industry Knowledge and Best Practices: Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies and platforms, and advancements in media buying and optimization. Share industry knowledge and insights with media teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Exploration of Next-Gen Digital Platforms: Stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements in digital media platforms. Evaluate and recommend new digital platforms, technologies, and partnerships that can enhance efficiency and drive innovation across media teams.
  • Long-Term Planning: Map the current media strategies to future evolution, considering the organization's goals and industry trends. Develop a long-term plan that aligns media efforts to driving Zillow forward- working with the planning team, creative teams, data science teams, and external agency partners.
  • Roadmap for Technology-Powered Media Buying: Develop and communicate a roadmap for integrating technology-powered solutions into media buying processes. Collaborate with media teams to identify opportunities where new technologies can optimize planning, targeting, and optimization efforts.
  • Test & Learn Agenda: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by establishing a robust test & learn agenda. Help media teams design and implement experiments, evaluate results, and share learnings to accelerate the adoption of data-driven decision-making.
  • Performance Analysis and Optimization: Partner with Data and Analytics Lead to establish measurement frameworks and data-driven approaches for analyzing transformation testing performance, ensuring they ladder into a macro media testing roadmap Provide insights and recommendations for optimization, ensuring that media efforts are delivering maximum impact in both short-term outcomes and long-term brand equity.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $104,700.00 - $167,300.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field with 8+ years proven experience in media planning, strategy, and execution; or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing trends, platforms, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications in media buying and optimization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong influencing and collaboration skills to drive change, efficiency improvements, and long-term planning. Possess and cultivate a growth mindset, passion for innovation and experimentation.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills and proven ability to story tell and drive a narrative.
  • A strong bias for action and willingness to push through ambiguity.
