Job Responsibilities
Execute customer-specific revenue cycle workflows with precision, adhering to federal, state, and payer-specific requirements, coding regulations, and collection standards.
Conduct various tasks including charge and transaction processing, AR management, patient and payer communication, coding, Electronic Remittance reconciliation, handling rejections and denials, and managing appeals.
Utilize federal, state, and payer websites for revenue cycle operations.
Engage in continuous training and development opportunities to enhance expertise.
Conduct research and analysis on coding and billing requirements to ensure compliance.
Strive to meet or exceed daily/weekly/monthly goals effectively.
Collaborate closely with other departments to fulfill the needs of our Members/RCR Customers while aligning with our organizational mission and goals.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with Members/RCR Customers and internal stakeholders to deliver mutually beneficial solutions and exceptional customer experiences.
Actively participate in committees/workgroups to contribute to organizational initiatives.
Analyze workflows and establish best practices in utilizing NextGen PM while staying updated on government regulatory changes impacting healthcare.
Serve as a mentor and resource for Tech I team members.
Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work
This is a full-time remote position, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required based on job demands.
Limited travel (5-10 days per year) may be necessary, with exceptions considered.
Required Education And Experience
2+ years of billing experience.
Proficiency in using clearinghouses and healthcare portals.
Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Experience with NextGen EPM/EDR or similar platforms.
Highly Desired Education And Experience
Prior experience in FQHC billing.
Familiarity with NextGen EPM, EDR, and/or Optical systems.
Preferred Education And Experience
Proficiency in MS Excel.
Previous experience in dental or behavioral health billing.
Telecommuting And Technical Requirements
This role is fully remote, requiring reliable telecommuting capabilities.
Must have access to cable or fiber internet service with download speeds of 20Mbps or higher and upload speeds of 5Mbps or higher.
