We are currently seeking dedicated Medical Assistants (MA) to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the well-being of our patients and their families by facilitating efficient healthcare services and delivering compassionate support.

Pay Rate: $20 - $22 per hour
Possible Starting Date: August 5, 2024
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Contract Length: 1 year with option to extend
Responsibilities:
Patient Documentation and Records Management: Scan patient documents into Electronic Health Records (EHR), manage release-of-information requests, and ensure records are complete with appropriate documentation and signatures.
Compliance and Coordination: Ensure compliance with health requirements set by Indian Health Services, assist with the collection and updating of patient information, and collaborate with healthcare providers to schedule tests and medical examinations.
Customer Service and Communication: Provide excellent customer service by greeting patients and visitors, answering phone calls professionally, and addressing patient queries.
Appointment Management: Check patients in for scheduled appointments, assist with scheduling, and act as a liaison between providers, patients, and visitors.
Health Record Analysis: Analyze health records for accuracy and completeness, review records for missing documents or information, and notify providers of deficiencies.
Release of Information: Receive and process Release of Information (ROI) forms, monitor and respond to requests for medical information, and ensure the release of information is compliant with applicable laws and standards.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
Valid BLS, CPR, and AED certifications.
Cultural sensitivity training is preferred, especially with Native American populations.
Proof of vaccinations and compliance with all health requirements upon award.
Strong computer skills and familiarity with EHR systems.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
