A well known and reputable health benefits provider in Overland Park, KS is looking for an experienced Medical Underwriter. This direct hire role offers a competitive salary with benefits and a hybrid schedule, once trained.
Medical Underwriter duties include:
Underwriting new and existing business for group health insurance
Quote new rates, renewal rates and and review carrier bills as well as ancillary products
Create self funded accounts
Review monthly manual dental renewals and check for accuracy
Medical Underwriter requirements include:
1-3 years experience as a medical underwriter in the Insurance field
Able to meet deadlines and handle stressful situations
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and the health insurance industry
