-Contract Length: through Oct 2024 (possible extension or conversion after contract)

-Hours: Fulltime, Monday-Friday

-Pay Rate: $23/hr

-Location: Framingham, MA (hybrid - onsite 2 days/week)

**Must reside in a commutable distance to office location.

Our client, a global retail and ecommerce chain is seeking a Merchandise Assistant to join to join their team! This is a 10-month contract position, working hybrid in Framingham, MA. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in the merchandise industry for a fun brand!

Responsibilities

• Assist merchandise buyers with administrative tasks
• Import and track vendor purchase orders
• Coordinate travel arrangements for merchants and set up vendor visits
• Create and maintain spreadsheets to monitor merchant spend
• Perform clerical tasks such as faxing, filing, fielding phone calls, and calling vendors to gather important information
• Track receipt and shipping of samples, set up sample displays for vendor visits, and organize and maintain sample room
• Organize reports for buyers
• Perform ad-hoc support to buyers and merchandise managers

Qualifications & Skills

• High attention to detail
• Experience working in retail/fashion or administrative/clerical space a plus
• Comfortable communicating with vendors
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, environment
• Positive attitude, high energy, strong work ethic
• Proficiency in Excel
• MS Office products
• Strong customer service skills
• Interest in retail/fashion/merchandising
