Merchandise Coordinator

Essential Job Functions:

  • Serves as liaison between the Buyers, inventory management, merchandising department and the distribution center.
  • Assists Buyer in weekly transfer requisitions to direct stores.
  • As needed, prepares recap reports for the Buyers related to sales, gross profit, and inventory results.
  • Works closely with the Buyers on data entry support, SKU uploads and system maintenance and updates.
  • Maintains inventory data.
  • Evaluate and enter purchase orders as instructed by the Buyers and prepares them for approval.
  • Follow up on purchase orders, back orders, return authorizations, return credits, mis-ships from suppliers, etc.
  • Assist Buyer in new/old product sales to determine the continuation and or life cycle of product lines.
  • As necessary and when assigned, tracks vendor orders to ensure the timely delivery of product to the distribution center
  • Maintains effective communication and professional relationships with various organization levels including the Distribution Center staff.
  • Understand and support Castle Megastore Group culture as described.
  • Will actively be working as needed in the DC processing and reviewing received products on a weekly basis.
  • Supporting active merchandising in the stores as needed to roll out updated POGs and merchandising guidelines to the stores.
  • Travel may be required for future tradeshows and store roll outs.
  • Other duties may be assigned, as we work to the needs of the company.

Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of inventory software and/or order processing systems
  • Typing ability of 40-50+ words per minute.
  • 10-key by touch
  • Intermediate Proficiency in MS Office Software specifically 2016 MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
  • Proven ability to maintain established deadlines
  • Ability to multi-tasks and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Education and/or Experience – High School Diploma or Equivalent. 1-2 years’ experience in retail customer service or related field.
  • Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
