About the Job


Touchstone Accessories is looking to hire an extremely motivated and driven Merchandising Assistant with proactive communication and strong multi-tasking skills. This role requires a blend of organizational prowess, attention to detail, and a keen understanding of fashion jewelry and accessories to contribute to the success of the buying/sales team.


Office Hours: This position is part-time to start at 30 hours per week with potential for full-time based on performance and business needs.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean organized showroom with collections arranged by relevant season
  • Keep showroom merchandised and related supplies stocked
  • Manage sample shipments to major retail accounts including sample tracking, return requests, and sample return check-ins
  • Photograph new product samples to create high-quality images for sales purposes
  • Support the creation and maintenance of visual merchandising displays in the physical showrooms
  • Ensure online products are accurately labeled, priced, and showcased to attract customer interest
  • Process Purchase Orders ensuring all information is accurate
  • Manage PP (Pre-Production) and TOP (Top of Production) samples ensuring they meet quality standards and align with client specifications
  • Communicate with our TS China team to track orders, samples, and resolve any discrepancies
  • Verify that product descriptions, specifications, and information on barcodes and labels are accurate and complete
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and customer preferences
  • Prepare and distribute regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and merchandising activities
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Merchandising manager as needed


Requirements

·      A bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing or a related field

·      Previous experience in merchandising, retail, or a related role preferred

·      Understanding of fashion trends, brands, and the overall dynamics of the fashion industry

·      Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail 

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Professional email etiquette is required!

·      Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment 

·      Proactive attitude in anticipating challenges and proposing solutions

·      Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

·      In-office role in Hollywood – must be located in LA county

Hourly Salary Range: $21-$25: Offer placement within this range is based on a variety of factors including prior relevant experience, qualifications, and skill set.
