The Northwestern Water and Sewer District will be accepting applications until July 12, 2024 for the position of full-time Meter/Field Technician I. Wage is $26.97 per hour plus additional pay for EPA licensure and benefits. Handles a variety of customer-related duties such as work orders, shut-off’s and troubleshooting leaks. Performs meter installs and maintains meters and electronic and remote meter reading equipment and also performs maintenance and repair on meter pits and curb boxes. High school diploma or GED and one (1) year experience in meter or customer service related field or closely related work experience preferred. Ability to read and write common vocabulary. Possess operator certification Class I Water Distribution and Backflow Prevention or obtain within 18 months. This position will perform work duties in a variety of weather conditions. Must possess or obtain a CDL during the probationary period. The District offers paid training for licensures, added compensation for OEPA licenses and tuition assistance for this position.
