Job Description

Our Mining Division is looking to recruit a Mine Operations Manager (M/F) on a permanent contract to work at its mining center in Tiébaghi, New Caledonia.

The Mine Operations Manager manages the mining center safely, at the best cost, with the best productivity in an optimal internal and external social climate. He/She ensures the long-term protection of the site's environment in compliance with mining regulations.

Responsibilities

• Achieve and maintain zero accidents at the open-pit mining,
• Direct and manage all mining activities at the center, from exploration and production to ore shipping,
• Ensure the implementation of best mining practices in compliance with international standards (safety, environment, etc.),
• Guarantee mining production within budget,
• Manage subcontractors and be involved in stakeholder management.
  
  

Your Profile

• Holder of a Master degree with 15 years' experience in the Mining/Geology sector
• Strong capacity for anticipation, adaptation, reactivity and crisis management,
• Proven managerial skills, charisma and persuasiveness, strong leadership,
• Successful experience in team leadership and stakeholder management in a complex societal environment.
• Mastery of geology, mining techniques and the mining process in general,
• Knowledge of performance management tools and methods.
