Biomerics is a leading provider of laser processing services and contract manufacturing of medical components and assemblies to a wide range of customers throughout the United States and internationally. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for quality and production on their assigned shift, Plant Safety to compliance to company policies and guidelines, documentation of daily, weekly activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: On-site regular, reliable attendance is required. Scheduling of molding employees on assigned shift to produce a quality product in an efficient manner. Monitor and assure all personnel perform tasks in a safe, effective manner. Arrange training where deficiencies are discovered. Monitor plant activity, reporting and taking action upon issues, which are not in compliance. To perform reviews and conduct disciplinary action as needed, in a timely manner. Report production and quality issues along with suggestions for improvements, during daily production meetings. Provide the manufacturing team daily up-dates of quality, production, safety and customer concerns in the daily changeover meeting.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Make suggestions and implement production improvements. Monitor shift during production hours for compliance to QS 9000, state and federal safety standards and plant policies / guidelines. Write or assist in writing SOIs’, procedures and create forms for the business. Be able to instruct Molding personnel in the use of all documentation required for Molding production and the measuring methods. Any other task deemed necessary for the safety, quality and production of their assigned shift, as instructed by the production or plant manager.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Must have excellent attendance. Must understand basic quality aspects and blueprints. Must have good math skills. Must have good communication skills. Understand Molding operations. Must understand basic safety regulations. Must have exhibited a positive attitude, the desire to lead and the ability to lead.

Requirements
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must attend leadership training as provided by Biomerics.
- Training on inspection equipment
- Blue Print reading.
- Previous leadership is desirable but not a must.
