Motion Designer

Business Applications and Platforms (BAP) is a multidisciplined storytelling team, focused on delivering highly impactful videos for our executive leadership team. We are looking for a Motion Designer who is adept in creating content that continually raises the bar.

You should have an advanced understanding of the entire production process with professional experience as a Motion Designer in a variety of formats (short-form, commercial, documentary, social, broadcast, etc.). Additional skills in video editing, 3D design, audio recording and sound design are expected. They should be leaders in their field, from a technical and creative storytelling standpoint.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize industry-leading software tools like Adobe After Effects and Cinema 4D to conceptualize and execute high-quality 2D/3D motion design that aligns to UX brand standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to capture their vision across deliverables: product demos, sizzle videos, customer stories, social media videos, and other digital content
  • Develop storyboards and animatics to ensure alignment with stakeholders
  • Identify creative opportunities to support major initiatives and products
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners and customers while communicating effectively
  • Stay up-to-date on production and post-production trends and techniques
  • Leverage trends and ideas from team members
  • Ensure videos and media created has the potential to make measurable business impact
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and the ongoing need to identify, assess, and solve problems quickly and frequently

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in professional production environment (e.g., lighting, shooting, audio recording, web production, writing), post-production environment, or broadcasting (e.g., local news)
    • OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in a professional post-production environment as a motion designer for TV, commercial, or web projects
  • Professional experience with motion design software, including Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, and other relevant tools like Adobe Premiere and Figma
  • Knowledge of video industry standard formats, and media management practices on Mac and PC platform and networked environments
  • A reel and/or links to work that showcase specific examples of your project involvement
  • Experience with Microsoft software and Business Applications

Video Production IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
